The Lush Face Mask
If I say that a pamper evening isn't complete without a Lush face mask, I'm sure you'll all agree. Although I have a few of my favourites I alternate depending on the time of the month and how my skin is feeling. I first tried the Cosmetic Warrior a few years ago when my skin had really bad breakouts when I started uni. After using it continuously I noticed that my spots had improved, and I've used it ever since. Although it doesn't smell great, it works wonders. The garlic and tea tree seem to really help the skin. This is always the first one I'll pick up as soon as I notice small spots and blemishes.
Catastrophe Cosmetic is the perfect mask to use if you have oily skin. I like using this product first thing in the morning as it makes your skin feel matte without any shine, and as I get oily skin throughout the day I feel that this helps. It also smells amazing even after it's washed off. I've tried face masks with a similar texture and most of them normally leave my skin feeling tight and a bit dry, although this does everything it says on the packaging. Skin feels smooth and moisturised but the oil disappears.
Another one of my favourites is the Brazened Honey. This mask has a sweet but refreshing scent which also lasts after washing it off. It's really good for exfoliating the skin and making it appear brighter. I use this one a lot in the winter when my skin feels tired and more dull than usual. One downside to these masks is the best before date as I don't always manage to finish them when I'm alternating between two. But this mask also works as just a quick exfoliator in the morning which was a handy tip I got from one of the sales assistants, so I've recently been using them up a lot quicker than I normally would have.
The most recent one I tried was The Sacred Truth. The ingredients that made me choose this mask were the ginseng, green tea infusion and coconut oil. This mask is perfect for when you need a detox and moisturising treatment for tired skin. It not only does the trick but it smells divine. This mask takes a lot more time to dry up compared to the rest and seems to stay fresh for longer. No wonder Honey the Giraffe managed to find it's way inside the tub (sorry, you're too late Honey).
I've tried a couple more but these are the ones I always go back to. And now that I've collected enough tubs to get a free one I think it's time I made a trip to Lush! Which ones are your favourite? I'd love to hear what masks other people like to use, xo
