New In: Velvet Make-Up Bags / Clutches

So my last post was about the satin zipped pouches I've been making, and I did mention that I'd be making some bigger ones. Well here they are! I decided to make a few with some polyester velvet fabric I've held onto for so long, and I'm so pleased with how they've turned out. They're slightly bigger than the coral and green ones I made, and they would make great clutch bags for the evening or even make-up bags.

The magenta ones would look amazing with an all-black outfit as they're so simple but definitely stand out in the light. And I think the gold ones would make perfect bridesmaid gifts. I might soon be expanding the range and making them in more colours and sizes so keep an eye out. These are available to buy on Etsy and are £10 each, bargain! Make sure to visit my Etsy store and see what else is available! xo

Round up of the week

So this week has been pretty busy for me as I've been working on lots more designs which will be available very soon in my Society6 shop. I mentioned in my previous post that they're all based on people I've either met or been inspired by. Some of these new illustrations have already been named, whereas some are yet to be completed.

Here's a sneaky peek of a few of the designs I've been working on. These have all been taken from Instagram so if you'd like to see more then be sure to follow me @sukisabur_designs, xo

Fashion Illustrations

For my Society6 shop, I decided to start off with a few illustrations that I've been working on recently. I use a mixture of ink and gouache paint for the illustrations which I feel makes them stand out, and both the mediums seem to work well together. I've been working with the same style for a long time, but I feel like I might want to try something new very soon so keep a look out.

A lot of these illustrations have been inspired by people that I know, maybe random people that I've met, and even celebs. The aim was not for them to look exactly like these people, but just give off a vibe that maybe I've felt from these people. A lot of these illustrations were named after I'd completely finished them, as the names popped up in my head after seeing the various features, and also the colours that each girl is wearing.

Here is a small selection of my illustrations. If you do want to see more then pop over to my Society6 shop and have a look at the different products which are available with those designs. xo

The Moroccan Oil Range

Hi there! So as I mentioned in the introductory post that I would start blogging again, I thought about the one thing I always love reading. And the hair/skincare/beauty product reviews always top the list. I find it really useful seeing what other people think of it before I make a purchase, as in the past I used to waste a lot of money on products that weren't suited to my skin/hair type (I'm sure you've all done the same).

A couple of months ago I bought the Moroccan Oil Intense Hydrating Mask, and I noticed a change in my hair after just one use. It seemed more stronger and hydrated and my split ends were nearly disguised. I thought about using the shampoo and oil together to see if it would improve my hair even more. (I've never been one to change to another product when I find something I like.) I started using the repair shampoo and conditioner, which made such a difference. All the products have a light but natural scent to it, and I noticed that using all of these products complimented this scent and made it last until it was next washed. The one thing I dislike the most is greasy hair so I always use minimum product.

Although the moroccan oil is more concentrated than any other I've previously used, I feel like it conditions my hair and softens those dry ends without weighing my hair down. I even noticed that I had to use a lot less shampoo than normal as it foams so well, which means you get a lot more for what you think you're splashing out on, wahey!
